Arlington County Government

I was the lead designer on the project to relaunch Arlington County’s web presence (network of sites, including micro-blogs), meaning I created wireframes, selected the palette, wrote code (HTML, CSS, some PHP), crafted an array of mockups, and performed user testing, in addition to a wide variety of the sub-tasks that go into a full-on organizational reboot – all while collaborating with and getting feedback from my fellow Communications squad team members. The result is a fully device-responsive, open source network of sites with a clean, accessible UI resulting in a far superior UX than the previous, outdated Java-backed site.

Arlington County Police

We all love it when a plan comes together and this is a great example of clean, concise content and a flexible, responsive web framework combining for a cutting edge site. The load time is swift, as much of the site is a blend of harmonious modern day HTML5 elements, as it is a site within the aforementioned Arlington County WordPress network. We’ve been able to take the well-respected yet traditionally more so offline department and bring its personality to life online through clean, engaging imagery and easy to access content.
